T-shirts were always an integral part of our gift shop's product line. We had several original designs and sales were brisk. So brisk, in fact, that our "t-shirt guy" couldn't keep up! We were always out of sizes and/or styles. We decided to make them ourselves and our sales soared. Before we knew it, friends and family members were contacting us to make t-shirts for their school, church, and business events. Because we felt that it was truly a blessing from God that we were able to gain the skills and equipment to print our own shirts, we wanted a way to use this gift to further God's kingdom. The idea of a christian t-shirt shop lingered in our minds for some time. We thought of a number of catchy t-shirt designs but realized we couldn't compete with the christian shirt companies that are currently out there. Those guys are very creative and really good at what they do. So the idea was shelved for some time. Then one day on a long prayerful bike ride the idea was again brought to mind. Without much thought the term Christianitees came to mind. Another gift! But how do we do anything better than what is already out there? As the music in my headphones played on, I heard the singer sing, "Jesus, you're my firm foundation. I put my hope in your holy word." That's it! Every design should be backed by God's holy word. People love, memorize, cherish and want to share God's word. God brings us to Him through His word. His word has power and is very effective when shared with others. With the current state of our nation we thought it would be very timely to start with a "Pray for.." line of shirts. We can vote, we can protest, and we can pray. God's word tells us to pray for everything. Our hope is that these shirts will remind us to do it and why the bible says we should. This is a new venture for us and we greatly appreciate your feedback. We have plans to expand our line of shirts into other aspects of our faith and what God's word says about those things.
